Despite Freeze, Colorado Springs Festival Of Lights Parade Will Go On

A scene from the 2011 Festival of Lights Parade

Glittering lights, festive floats, maybe a glimpse at Santa Claus--what better way to ring in the holiday season than the Colorado Springs Festival of Lights Parade?

The tradition, in its 29th year now, will go unbroken despite the recent freeze. For those that decide to brave the cold temperatures, the recent snow could make for a very festive "winter wonderland" backdrop.

For those who wish to watch from the warmth of their homes, KKTV will be live streaming the event. It can be viewed by clicking here. KKTV will also be airing it live on MYKKTV.

The parade begins at 5:50 p.m. at the corner of Tejon and St. Vrain in Colorado Springs and runs south on Tejon, ending at Vermijo Avenue.
