An image of the SUV vs. semi crash at I-25 and Circle, which shut down two lanes on the southbound side of the interstate.
Multiple crashes caused headaches for drivers headed southbound in the I-25 and Circle area Monday morning.
The left and center lanes were previously blocked after a SUV rear-ended a semi earlier Monday morning, then the left lane remained closed after that crash cleared due to a new crash.
Police say at least two people were taken to the hospital following the crash involving the semi and SUV. Traffic cameras indicated significant damage to the front end of the SUV. There is no word on injuries in the other crash.
A truck hitting a guard rail sometime before 6 a.m. started the string of crashes at that spot on the interstate. Some traffic reports stated that there were as many as four crashes in the area at and just south of Circle on southbound I-25.
Traffic is now flowing smoothly in the area. All lanes are reopened.
