Police arrested two people accused of breaking into vehicles after finding them hiding behind a parked car.
Officers were called to the Springs Ranch neighborhood on the northeast side of Colorado Springs just before 12:30 a.m. Wednesday after residents reported seeing two males trying to get into several vehicles. Responding officers quickly found the pair crouched behind a vehicle parked on the 4600 block of Pring Ranch Road, and determined that they had broken into at least one car. Both were taken into custody.
Police identified one of the suspects as Andrew Sandel. The other suspect is a minor, so his identity will not be released due to his age. The police department says both are charged with first-degree criminal trespass.
