But some officials with the 148th say the unit could eventually
move to other Army bases including Fort Carson, Colorado, or Fort
Riley, Kansas.

The majority of the 100-plus member company were ordered last
week to relocate to Fort Hood. The troops will assume duties of U-S
Army personnel deployed overseas.

The 148th trains with U-H-1 helicopters to perform medical
rescue missions.

The duration of the deployment is unknown.

Over 4,500 Fort Carson Troops have already received deployment orders.
