A crash on I-25 early Friday morning claimed the lives of a woman and two boys from Ogden, Utah.
It happened in Pueblo County, 10 miles south of Pueblo.
Colorado State Patrol says 26-year-old Maria Ruiz was driving southbound in the right-hand lane when she drifted off the left side of the interstate, and ran into a post. She over-corrected to the left, crossing into the northbound lanes.
That's when a mini-van, driven by 45-year-old Patricia Smith of Rye, ran into Ruiz's car. Both vehicles were thrown into a ditch.
Ruiz was killed, along with 8-year-old Juan Garcia, Jr. and 7-year-old Joshua Garcia.
Two other children, a 3-year-old and an 8-month-old, were injured. They've been taken to Children's Hospital in Denver.
Patricia Smith was also taken to the hospital for moderate injuries.
There's no word yet on whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
