A quip by former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee about Barack Obama is raising some eyebrows.

During a speech Friday to the National Rifle Association in Kentucky, Huckabee was interrupted by a loud noise offstage. He responded by telling the audience it was Obama diving to the floor because someone had aimed a gun at him.

There were only a few murmurs in the crowd after the remark.

The Obama campaign has had no comment.

This is a stupid and irresponsible comment by Huckabee. I respect his political positions and would have voted for him if he were nominated. BUT, this is uncalled for! For crying out loud, this could give the perception that Huckabee and the NRA are definately pro-gun, pro-violence, pro-killing radicals. This is just additional fodder for the anti-gun folks. This was a very bad "joke" and deserving of a public apology directly personally to Obama.

Huckabee once again demonstrating his lack of good judgement and why he is not still running for President.

Very poor joke. Probably referencing his appeasement attitude toward terrorist groups.
