Roads are icy in spots that saw accumulating snow yesterday. Allow yourself plenty of extra time this morning and dress warmly, as wind chills are in the single digits and teens for many. A second disturbance will bring another round of snow showers to the Front Range this afternoon and early evening. While not as heavy as yesterday, some additional light accumulations over the higher terrain will be possible, including Teller and Northern El Paso Counties. Highs in the 30s and 40s will feel colder when factoring a blustery northwest wind. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
A former town marshal in Green Mountain Falls is facing charges of illegally selling guns from an evidence room and falsifying police reports.
Joshua David Patsch was arrested Friday on suspicion of selling nine handguns, shotguns and rifles from the town's evidence room and keeping the money.
The 24-year-old Patsch was first arrested June 30th on charges of perjury, attempting to influence a public servant and official misconduct.
Investigators say he had falsified police reports to arrest a friend's daughter outside his jurisdiction.
Patsch was fired in August.
He was arrested in the firearms case when he arrived in court for a hearing in the previous case. He is free on two thousand dollars bond.
Green Mountain Falls, a town of about 900, is ten miles northwest of Colorado Springs.
