An armed robbery at a springs business Wednesday night ends in the arrest of five suspects.

The crime happened at the American Pawn Shop near Galley and Murray Road.

Witnesses say several suspects armed with a gun held up the store and left with a laptop and a number of guns.

Colorado Springs Police teamed up with multiple other units which led to the arrest of two juveniles and three adults. Police then searched several different homes, where they reportedly found several of the guns that were taken and the laptop.

Police say the three adult suspects arrested are 18-year-old Darryl Thompson, 19-year-old Brandon Killings and 20-year-old Talos Irvin.

Bill from Boston Location: I AGREE I WOULD HAVE SHOT TO KILL ALSO. I HAVE MY CONCEALED LISENCE FOR PROTECTION. I DONT DISAGREE WITH YOU ON THAT. AS FAR AS YOUR "BULLCRAP" ABOUT HARMING ANYONE: WAS ANYONE INJURED. 5 GUYS YA THAT GUY COULD HAVE ENDED UP REALLY MESSED UP OR EVEN DEAD. I DO UNDERSTAND HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING THATS THE PART I DONT GET. I DONT KNOW WHAT THEY PLANNED TO DO WITH THE GUNS, I DO KNOW HE JUST HAD A BAD JUDGEMENT OF FRIENDS. I DONT TRUST COPS EITHER. THERE ARE SOME GOOD COPS BUT YOU CANT SAY THAT THERE ARE NOT BAD COPS ALSO. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ARRESTED BUT YET I GET HARRASSED FROM TIME TO TIME BY COPS. I DONT GO AND CAUSE TROUBLE. SO DONT ACT LIKE EVERY COP IS A HERO BECAUSE I DONT THINK EVERY COPS IS BAD. I STILL WILL NEVER TRUST THEM THOUGH.

I don't usually respond more than once with comments but now feel compelled to do so. For christy, I'm not sure what you mean. Was it because the police busted these dudes and kept several guns off the streets??! Is that why you don't trust CSPD?? For FRIEND, somehow or other, this person got mixed up with the wrong people, and probably drugs. Now, if someone pointed a gun at me, BB gun or real, I would shoot to kill that person! I definately am not going to waste time pondering whether real or not. You need to understand that he/she knowingly participated in an armed robbery. Don't forget, he/she used a "BB gun" (if true) to steal real guns that have real bullets that can wound or kill. What were they going to do with the guns?? And, "they weren't planning on harming any1" is bullcrap! Hey, they all participated in an armed robbery and 1st offense or not, need to be examples of what not to do against society!

I AM A FRIEND OF THE FAMILY OF 1 OF THE SUSPECTS. I AM NOT SAYING WHAT THEY DID WAS OK BECAUSE I AM NOT. I DO KNOW THAT THIS IS HIS 1ST CHARGE FOR ANYTHING EVER AND HE REALLY IS A GOOD PERSON. I DONT KNOW WHY HE DID THIS AND CAN NOT SPEAK FOR HIM. I HOPE THE JUDGE AT LEAST TAKES THIS INTO CONSIDERATION. IT WASNT A REAL GUN IT WAS A BB GUN. THEY WERE NOT PLANNING ON HARMING ANY1. YOU NEED TO KNOW HE IS NOT A VIOLENT PERSON BY NATURE. I CANT BELIEVE THIS ITS NOT THE PERSON I KNOW.

I dont trust CSPD, and this is why, It seems people needs to take matters into their own hands.

I agree, great job by CSPD!! Mark, you have some very good suggestions re: profits, bonuses, etc. My only concern is that the system does in fact keep these jerks off the streets from the git-go. I would suggest no bail, or... the bail be set so high so as to guarantee they do not roam the streets while waiting for trial or incarceration. I also believe the 2 juveniles should be charged as adults to set an example for our younger generation wanna-be's. I believe anyone who participates in a crime that involves guns, using or stealing, should face potentially NO bail, and then the MAXIMUM sentence when convicted. Harsh but needed!

Mark I agre with you 100%. I don't feel safe at all living in this city anymore. Hate to say this but we do need more cops out on the streets. This isn't the place I want my kids growing up. They could get killed raped beatup or kidnapped walking down their street and its all do to the city being stupid about the money. They don't know how to handle the money they are given to budget this city. Seems to me like someone else needs to be in the job!

Seems we have more bad than good people here in Colorado Springs. Think about it before you jump to conclusions and reckless banter.

Great job CSPD! Thanks to the witnesses for their info, and the collective efforts of our law enforcement community, we now have 5 undesirerables off the streets. Hope the DA and Judge do their jobs and make an example of these folks; might just deter other "wanna-be's" to forget about a life of crime. Also hoping the City Council will now realize that more police officers are needed in our city; get the money for these officers from the profits made at Memorial Hospital, CSU (rate hike increase), forget about bonuses for all city employees (sorry folks, priorities first)until we can get the crime rate down. I think most would agree, the city is getting a bad name because crime is on the rise!
