A human bone is found in the southern area of the Fountain Creek Nature trail.

The Fountain Police Department says the bone is at least 20 years old and is consistent with the size of a 10 to 12 year old person.

After a search of the area where the bone was found detectives found 27 other bones. They have since been collected by the coroner's office. The identity of the remains is still unknown but police say they do have several missing person's cases from back then and there is one case in particular that seems to match their evidence.

If the additional bones found are human they will do a DNA test to see if they indeed match any of the old unsolved cases.
