More than 700 Colorado restaurants, hotels and other businesses are among nearly 17,000 establishments across the country joining forces to help hurricane survivors.
This is "Dine for America" day, and nationwide effort to raise funds for the American Red Cross.
All of the participating businesses are donating at least part of their sales, or holding special collections, for hurricane relief efforts.
The Colorado Restaurant Association is teaming up with the Colorado Hotel Lodging Association and the state's bars, nightclubs and taverns for the project, so even people who don't feel like eating can take part.
Pete Meersman of the Colorado Tourism Office calls it the hospitality industry's way of helping the thousands of people left devastated.
