CO Soldier Dies in Afghanistan Save Email Print

A soldier from Loveland has died while serving in Afghanistan.

Twenty-six-year-old Sergeant Isaac Palomarez of Loveland died on May 9. The Department of Defense says he died when his patrol hit an improvised explosive device and come under small arms and rocket-propelled fire.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY.
