A drive by shooting in Colorado Springs leaves one woman splintered with shards of glass and several others shaken up.

The shooting happened late Friday afternoon and the victims say they have no idea who the gunman was.

The victims say it happened in the Gunther Toody's parking lot near Woodmen and Powers.

The victims say there were five of them inside a car when a blue car with three people in it, two men and one woman, pulled up next to them and started firing several rounds of bullets at them. The victims say the suspects then quickly drove off.

Less than half an hour after the shooting, the victims were pulled over by police. The victims say, police thought they were the ones who were firing the bullets.

"He set off five rounds," said Desiree Splitter, one of the victims.

"I was terrified," said Brittney Ponger, another one of the victims.

Ponger showed 11 News the splinters of glass in her arm and she described the bullet fragments in her leg.

"I could be dead right now if I didn't pull my seat back like I did," said Ponger.

The scary part is, the victims say, they have no idea who the shooter was or why they were shooting at them.

The victims say if they laid eyes on the suspects again, they'd recognize them.

Police say the incident is an ongoing investigation even though they have little information.

If you know something, call Crimestoppers at 634-STOP.

Another story where something just doesn't make sense. Maybe I've got the sequence wrong but the way I'm reading the story, why hadn't the "victims" contacted the police for the half hour prior to being pulled over?? How come they didn't report the assault? Why wasn't Ponger taken to the hospital?? Sounds as if she needed prompt treatment for her "wounds". They get ambushed and they don't report it? I hope the police run checks on all of them, they may find some interesting stuff. My guess, it may have been gang-related, maybe dope involved.

The police blotter states they were arguing over a parking spot.

  • Posted By: KennaYou make it sound like this happened last night or even within a month!! Truth is Im the bartender @ Porkys and I never gave anyone under 21 a beer!!!!
  • Posted By: Phil DuhonGood reporting, but a little misleading. Porky's was stung in July, the video posted was from July and drastic measures have been taken since and before then to stop underage drinking. A bar or a club have nothing to gain from selling to a minor. I am not disputing this report, but the way it was presented is a little shady. I noticed you used Oscar's as well but failed to report that the sting was un-successful.
