Fountain police have made an arrest in an almost 5-year-old vehicular homicide.

Fountain police have made an arrest in an almost 5-year-old vehicular homicide.

On May, 23, 2003 36-year old Johnny Lopez was found dead in the intersection of Mesa Road and Highway 85. Later police determined he had been hit by a car.

The case was reopened in November of last year. After reviewing evidence, conducting interviews and submitted evidence to the F.B.I. After this investigation an arrest warrant was issued for 49-year-old Pedro Cruz. He has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide, and accidents involving death or personal injuries-duties.

And they had to let the guy go because the statue of limitations was up. I think they should of checked into this before they made an arrest. But this is typical Fountain Police at its finest.
