A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect this afternoon for most of Southern Colorado. Daytime heating and moisture will combine with a disturbance moving through Colorado to develop numerous thunderstorms. Any one of them will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain. Burn scars and areas that have seen recent heavy rain will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. This FLASH FLOOD WATCH will remain in effect through 6pm Wednesday. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat closely for you the next two days.
Former Colorado Senator Gary Hart has launched a Web site as part of his possible bid for president in 2004. Although, he has not yet decided whether to run. Hart said recently he would love to be president, but said he will decide later whether to enter the race.
On his Web site, Hart says that Americans want security, both from terrorism and from domestic threats to the economy and the environment. He is delivering a series of policy speeches in the
coming weeks, including one set for Tuesday to the Council on
Foreign Policy in New York.
The 65-year-old Hart was a clear front-runner to be the Democratic nominee in 1988 until a sex scandal dashed his hopes and
prompted him to quit the race. He had left the Senate in 1987.
