On Tuesday, a committee in the Colorado House decided that Coloradans should be able to add their cell phone numbers to the state's no-call list for telemarketers.

The House Business Affairs and Labor Committee voted 12-0 to send to the full House a bill to expand a 2002 law that set up a database for residents to put their residential voice and fax numbers off-limits to telemarketers. The bill approved Tuesday would expand the law to include wireless phones.

Nearly one million phone numbers have been placed on the no-call list since it was created in May and that's about half of the state's two million residential telephone numbers.

Telemarketing companies are required to buy the list and ensure they don't call numbers on it.
