A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. Several inches of accumulation will be possible in areas where these bands develop. For more information click the ‘Weather’ tab...
The lawsuit brought by former Colorado Avalanche forward Steve Moore's lawsuit against Vancouver Canucks player Todd Bertuzzi has been thrown out.
Denver District Judge Shelley Gilman says Moore didn't have any evidence the Canadian defendants should face trial in Colorado and suggested the suit might fare better in Canada.
Moore was seriously injured by a hit from Bertuzzi in a game in March 2004 in Vancouver and has yet to fully recover.
The suit also named the Canucks, former Vancouver player Brad May, coach Marc Crawford and former general manager Brian Burke.
The lawsuit accused Bertuzzi and the other defendants of civil conspiracy, assault, battery and negligence.
Moore's lawyer says the evidence and testimony don't support the judge's ruling and an appeal is likely.
