Former Georgetown Mayor Convicted

Former Georgetown mayor Koleen Brooks will be sentenced February 5th, after her conviction for false reporting. An Eagle County jury found her guilty on a misdemeanor charge. She could face up to 6 months in jail and a $750 fine.

Last year, amidst a campaign to recall her from office, Brooks claimed she was attacked. During her trial, she denied faking the story. But the jury disagreed. However, the did not convict her on felony charges of tampering with evidence.
