Roads are icy in spots that saw accumulating snow yesterday. Allow yourself plenty of extra time this morning and dress warmly, as wind chills are in the single digits and teens for many. A second disturbance will bring another round of snow showers to the Front Range this afternoon and early evening. While not as heavy as yesterday, some additional light accumulations over the higher terrain will be possible, including Teller and Northern El Paso Counties. Highs in the 30s and 40s will feel colder when factoring a blustery northwest wind. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
Colorado Springs Officials have released the names of the four people killed in Friday's triple murder suicide. Eight-year-old Tosha and 4-year-old Mykel Wasserburger, and 29-year-old Michaela Hernandeaz are all confirmed to have died of gunshot wounds to the head. Forty-year-old Ernest "Sonny" Hernandez died of a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
The El Paso County coroner says Mr. Hernandez killed himself after killing his common law wife and their two children, Tosha and Mykel.
The 8-year-old girl called to report a fight between the parents early Friday and police discovered their bodies after they arrived.
Hernandez reportedly was experiencing financial problems and in trouble with the state for not paying taxes.
