Springs firefighters were called to rescue a 69-year-old man Friday afternoon, after he fell nearly 30 feet into a gully on the south side of Pikes Peak, near Rosemont Reservoir.
The man went into cardiac arrest and though emergency workers performed CPR on him all the way to the hospital, they were unable to revive him.
The man's name has not been released.
