The girl's volleyball coach at Air Academy High School is under arrest for allegedly trying to solicit a teenaged boy for sexual activity. What he didn't know was that "boy" was actually a police officer.
Troy Lee Stetler, age 31, is charged with Enticement of a Child, a Class 4 felony, and Attempted Sexual Assault against a Child, a Class 5 felony.
Investigators say on Dec. 19, Stetler started communicating over the Internet with what he thought was a 13-year-old boy. They say he made arrangements to meet the teen at a local hotel for a sexual encounter on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
In addition to being the girl's volleyball coach, Stetler is also the Technology Coordinator at Air Academy High School.
This is the 63rd arrest by the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force since its start in 1999.
