Police in Aspen say a prosecutor from Pueblo was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Forty-one-year-old Karl Tameler, a deputy district attorney in Pueblo County, was pulled over Monday after allegedly driving 53 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour construction zone. The arresting officer says Tameler asked him to call the local district attorney and showed him his law enforcement badge.
Officer Dan Glidden says Tameler repeatedly questioned him about his arrest, telling him he had a lot of discretion about whether to make an arrest.
