Schools started two hours late Monday morning, after vandals let the air out of the tires of 120 buses.

Morning transportation was not available, so parents were forced to take their children to school. The delay affected about 21,000 students and their families.

Some parents were upset because they didn't get the message that school was delayed. Several parents dropped their kids off at a bus stop or took them to school at the normal time.

District officials say they used several different methods to inform parents, including their 'weather alert' email system. Many parents who received those emails didn't open them because it was sunny outside.

Absences and tardiness were excused.

District officials say they are investigating the incident. No tires were slashed and all buses were repaired by 9:30 and all afternoon routes were run as scheduled.

Everyone complaining should stop.....me being a student can understand the prank and really the only thing that happened was that extra people were called in, and that pressure that was on the flat tires mostlikely caused minor damage to the interiors...too many people are over reacting and sure the people should be punished for treaspassing...that's it...everyone who wants to get all huffy about this just needs to breathe...and u should realize this isn't that big of a deal..
