The secretary of state's office had hoped the system would be up in April but officials aren't sure it will be ready by then.
All states are under a federal mandate to develop statewide voter registration systems by the first of the year.
Wisconsin and Wyoming have also hired Accenture L-L-P to create such systems. Wisconsin says its system won't be ready on time and Wyoming is also expecting delays.
Mark Pocan, a Wisconsin state lawmaker from Madison, says warning signs about the company were there from the start. Kansas dropped its system contract with Accenture and the company was already behind on contracts with other state agencies.
