Gas Shortages Only Temporary

Colorado drivers with premium-friendly cars are increasingly switching to regular -- a move that will save a few bucks but could be contributing to temporary, scattered shortages.

Gas prices hit another record Friday with a statewide average of $2.87 a gallon for regular but many stations are charging more than 3 dollars a gallon.

The Colorado-Wyoming Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association says sales of regular unleaded gasoline are now accounting for about 90 percent of sales.
