The Metro Denver Sports Commission has established a committee to explore the possibility of hosting the Winter or Summer Olympic Games.
It might seem like an odd move given Colorado's past. Colorado once won a bid to host the 1976 Winter Olympics, but voters rejected it over environmental, financial and growth concerns.
Sports commission vice president Steve Sander says maybe times
have changed. The exploratory Olympic committee is scheduled to give
recommendations to the Denver sports commission in July.
