Accident Victim Improving

A 16 year old girl whose car was hit by a train in Castle Rock is out of a coma. Maureen ``Missy'' Martin is awake and breathing on her own, but is not speaking, walking or eating yet as she recovers from a brain
injury.

Martin's car was struck by a train November 12th after her car
stalled on the railroad tracks on her way to school. Martin's boyfriend was in another car behind her and tried to push her stalled car off the tracks with his vehicle. But he could not move it before the train came.

Martin is expected to remain at the hospital for at least two
more months as she recovers.
