An 11,357-acre wildfire near Beulah in Pueblo County is fully contained.

But about 335 people are still on the scene to mop up the blaze that at one point prompted the evacuations of about five-thousand residents.

Meanwhile near Mesa Verde National Park, a front that brought wind and lightning pushed a fire burning near Hesperus from 640 acres to 1,750 acres on Saturday.

Fire information officer Susan Zornek says no homes are threatened, and the blaze is about five percent contained.

Both fires were believed to have been started by lightning.
