Families and friends of 170 Fort Carson soldiers welcomed their troops home Saturday night.
The soldiers are with the 576th Engineer Company, 4th Engineer Battalion, and the 60th Ordnance Company, 68th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 43rd Sustainment Brigade.
The 576th Engineer Company soldiers have been deployed at the Regional Command-West in Afghanistan.
They helped clear more than 13,000 miles of supply routes and transferred responsibility of many of those routes to the Afghan National Army.
Members of the 60th Ordnance Company were deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan in August of last year.
They were in charge of an ammunition supply point where they issued, processed and stored ammunition.
The soldiers arrived at Fort Carson around 10:00 p.m. Saturday. A ceremony was held at the special events center on post.
