Former University of Colorado football recruiting aide Nathan Maxce has pleaded guilty to felony charges of soliciting a prostitute and official misconduct.

Maxcey is the only person ever indicted by the grand jury that investigated a sex and alcohol scandal involving the CU football program.

He had pleaded innocent in April to soliciting a prostitute and misusing a university cell phone.

A judge Wednesday sentenced Maxcey to one year of unsupervised probation, and 40 hours of community service. The judge also ordered Maxcey to pay about $1,000 in restitution, fines and court costs.

Maxcey read a brief statement apologizing and accepting responsibility for his actions, saying he never intended to harm anyone, or the university.
