Snowpack is below average in Colorado this year, and the problem is the state's river systems feed water to 10 western states.
Though the overall mountain snowpack is 131% above what it was at this time last year, it's still not good enough at only 86% the average. It was about 65% of average at this time last year.
Experts say Colorado's snowpack needs to reach 150%, or far better than average by April 1st to help replenish the state's reservoirs.
The snowpack's average percentage is measured over a 30 year period.
