Colorado's governor says there's no indication that the state, or the country, are under any immediate terrorist threat.
But Governor Bill Owens and homeland security officials are announcing heightened security activity across Colorado anyway.
The move comes in response to the deadly bombings in London on Thursday.
Owens says security has been increased for mass-transit systems across the United States, including R.T.D. buses and light rail along the Front Range. State and local law enforcement officers were notified Thursday morning.
R.T.D. director Phil Washington confirms that security has been beefed up at bus and light-rail stations, but he declined to elaborate.
He urged passengers to stay alert, and report any suspicious packages or activity.
