An accident involving a Sheriff K-9 unit sends one deputy to the hospital.
Late last night, at the intersection of Mark Sheffel Road and Stetson Hills Boulevard, a minivan heading east on Stetson Hills apparently stopped at a stop sign, and then pulled out in front of the car the deputy was driving.
Police say the deputy t-boned the van.
He was transported to Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The dog in the car was fine.
The driver of the van, a 17-year old female, was treated for a broken pelvis.
Police are investigating the accident.
they say it's unclear exactly what caused it, but alcohol is not a factor.
