Interstate Shootout

Authorities in California believe a woman wanted in connection with the disappearance of a California woman was killed in a shootout Sunday in northern Colorado. They also say the person arrested was her husband.

Deputies and the suspects exchanged shots in Lochbuie after a 40-mile chase along Interstate 76 Sunday morning. Authorities have been searching for 22-year-old Nicholas Vovos and his 39-year-old wife, Deborah Vovos, for questioning in the disappearance of Carolyn Dunn Avdeef. She's been missing since last month.

A spokesman for the Orange County Sherrif's Department says a woman found dead in the vehicle matched the description of Deborah Vovos but her identity is still being confirmed.
