A rollover near Academy and Union knocked out power for more than 1,650 customers Friday morning.
Power was restored to most customers just before 7 a.m., and all others around 8:30 a.m.
Repairs are expected to last through the morning. Lane restrictions are currently in effect on Union at Garden Ranch Road, just west of Academy.
The outage primarily affected customers west of Academy and north of Austin Bluffs. UCCS was included in the affected area.
The rollover occurred at Union and Ranch Drive just before 5:30 a.m. and reportedly knocked over a power pole, according to police. Police say the driver did not have his lights on. He also hit an electrical box which started a small fire. The driver, identified by police as Frank Navarro Jr., was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Alcohol is a suspected factor.
