A motorist who picked up a man who allegedly stole a car and caused several accidents on Interstate 25 Sunday will not face charges.

Police suspect the motorist had no idea the man had just been involved in those accidents. The Colorado State Patrol says 19-year-old Louis Delorean drove southbound on I-25 Sunday morning, sideswiping several vehicles as he drove. A trail of at least ten wrecked cars was left along the interstate after the incident.

Delorean crashed the stolen vehicle just south of Monument Hill and created a pileup. Witnesses told police the man then ran across the interstate and hitched a ride on northbound I-25. Officers caught up with Delorean just south of Denver.
