Broncos Release Javon Walker, Ian Gold
The Denver Broncos on Friday released linebacker Ian Gold and wide receiver Javon Walker, Head Coach Mike Shanahan announced. Gold, a ninth-year player, spent seven seasons with the Broncos (2000-03, ’05-07) and appeared in 99 games (67 starts) with the club, totaling 542 tackles (426 solo) and 16.5 sacks. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2004 season.

The Denver Broncos on Friday released linebacker Ian Gold and wide receiver Javon Walker, Head Coach Mike Shanahan announced.

Gold, a ninth-year player, spent seven seasons with the Broncos (2000-03, ’05-07) and appeared in 99 games (67 starts) with the club, totaling 542 tackles (426 solo) and 16.5 sacks. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2004 season.

Walker, a seventh-year player, was with Denver for the last two seasons after he was acquired in a trade from Green Bay on April 29, 2006. He played 24 games (21 starts) for the Broncos, totaling 95 receptions for 1,371 yards (14.4 avg.) with eight touchdowns.
