Light to moderate snow showers continue this Wednesday morning with cold temperatures to start the day. Roads are *very* icy and snow packed throughout southeast Colorado... so please allow extra time for the morning drive. Throughout the midday and afternoon, we'll keep the chance of some light, fine snow showers, but expecting minor accumulations through the day. Snow looks to finally push out this evening/overnight and our warm up begins. Head over to the "Weather' tab for a full look at the forecast.
Colorado residents who use marijuana legally under a state medical program can be prosecuted by federal authorities. That's according to a ruling Monday morning by the U.S. Supreme Court.
In a six-to-three ruling in a case from California, justices say state medical marijuana laws don't protect users from the federal ban on the drug.
Colorado is one of ten states that allow the use of marijuana to treat various illnesses, as long as a doctor prescribes it. Writing for the majority, Justice John Paul Stevens says Congress could change the law.
In a dissenting opinion, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor says states should be allowed to set their own rules. She says the court is overreaching.
