The director of the Colorado Springs Salvation Army is free on 10 thousand dollars bond.
Major Steve Owen was arrested Wednesday afternoon on charges of sexual assault on a child in a position of trust.
A 14 year old accuses Owen of molesting him several times, over an 18 month period.
Major Owen has been placed on administrative leave.
The Salvation Army's Colonel Howard Brodin tells us.. "We want to support the investigation and determine the facts and resolve the issue as soon as possible."
Major Owen has worked for the Salvation Army Organization for 25 years, 8 of those in the Springs.
