Denver Police Chief Gerry Whitman says some people questioned during the search for a suspect in the slaying of a police officer have been arrested.
Whitman says those people have been arrested on unrelated charges, such as outstanding warrants.
Police suspect the 19-year-old Raul Garcia-Gomez ambushed Detective Donald Young and another officer as the officers provided security for a christening party earlier this month. They think he fled to Los Angeles but police say a core group of people who know him aren't talking.
Whitman says that is criminal.
Young's widow -- Kelly Young -- says she understands how it feels to have a family torn apart and she hopes the friends and family of Garcia-Gomez can put themselves in her position.
