Governor Owens was elected chairman of the Republican Governors Association at its annual meeting held
Saturday in California. Owens says he was honored to represent the majority of the nation's governors. He says the R-G-A will work closely with President Bush on improving the nation's economy and homeland security. The meeting was held in Dana Point, California.
