Unemployment Rates

(Denver-AP) -- Colorado's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was unchanged in October at 5.2 percent.

The state Department of Labor and Employment says the number of the state's unemployed rose by 800 to 123,800.

The overall jobless rate during the first 10 months of this year has ranged between five percent and 5.7.

First-time unemployment claims now are averaging 3,000 per week and five of the state's eight major industry categories lost jobs while the government, construction, and transportation and public utilities sectors added employees.
