An armed man forced his way into a Colorado Springs apartment, and fell asleep in the rear bedroom. Police say that is where they found him.
According to CSPD, officers were dispatched to 2010 Carmel Drive around 6:10 a.m. There, they met the victim, who explained the gun-wielding suspect, later identified as Albaro Gamboa, had forced himself into the apartment and ordered the victim into the bedroom. The suspect reportedly said that people were after him and wanted to kill him.
Eventually, the victim was able to leave the apartment and call 911.
When officers searched the apartment, they found Gamboa had fallen asleep in the bedroom with a loaded handgun nearby.
