The Civil Air Patrol has called off the search for two elderly pilots from Pueblo and their plane that has been missing since April seventh.

The missing men are 81-year-old Clay Courtright and his 77-year-old friend, Bill Duffy.

They were last seen refueling their 1950s single-engine Piper Tri-Pacer in Kremmling.

The Civil Air Patrol and authorities in several Colorado counties searched an area from Summit County to Buena Vista after the small plane was reported overdue in Canon City, where Courtright kept his small plane.

The men often took spontaneous trips in one of their planes. Both were experienced pilots.
