A joint effort by University of Colorado and Colorado State students in changing marijuana policies at the two schools.
Boulder based group Safer Alternative for Enjoyable Recreation has staged a vote among students.
The group is asking both universities to make penalties against marijuana use comparable to alcohol use.
Students at the two schools have voted to support such a move.
But C.U. says it already has little variation in penalties against drug and alcohol use.
In a statement, C.U. says the university is not bound by the vote.
