If you're feeling a bit crowded, you have good reason to. El Paso County could soon surpass Denver County as the most populated county in the state.

Latest census figures show nearly 555,000 Coloradans call El Paso County "home". That's only 2200 less than Denver County.

El Paso County grew at a pace of 1.2 percent between 2003 and 2004, beating out Denver County's 0.1 percent.

The Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments says the population could top 633,000 in just 5 years.
