Crowley County Sheriff Jeff Keyes has been found not guilty of dumping hazardous chemicals. But the fight to keep his job isn't over.

Some Crowley County residents still want to remove Keyes from office. They're moving forward with a recall petition, saying they've lost faith in the way Keyes runs the Sheriff's office.

Keyes tells 11 News he's not willing to give up.

"I am going to fight the recall. I've always been one to accept the challenge."

The committee is waiting for the county clerk to approve the recall signatures. The Sheriff will then have 15 days to challenge them.
