Locally heavy rain and snow will impact Southern Colorado through Friday afternoon and early evening. Heaviest snow will favor the mountains, Teller County, and El Paso County. This will lead to difficult travel conditions by Friday morning. Heavy snow will also occur in the higher terrain to the southwest of Pueblo. The storm will wind down later Friday evening. More ski resorts are opening today thanks to those early season winter storms. Skiers are enjoying 24-hundred acres at Vail today, which opened after getting another four-and-a-half inches of snow last night. Ten lifts are operating and portions of the back bowls are open. Arapahoe Basin opened today too after getting eleven inches of snow in the last three days. Four lifts are operating. Breckenridge and Eldora opened yesterday and Keystone has added the North Peak to its open terrain.
