A 47 year-old man is in jail for killing a traffic flagger and fleeing. And he's in jail because of the help of a good Samaritan.
Authorities say the flagger for Colorado Traffic Control was at the end of his shift in Denver just after midnight when he knelt to pick up something off the ground.
That's when authorities say Brad Edwards crashed his pickup into the flagger, throwing him about 50 feet. Edwards, then left.
But another driver followed him long enough to give police a description and location of his truck.
Edwards now faces charges of vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident, and a D.U.I.
The name of the victim has not been released.
