Why The Video Looks Shaky (Don Ward)

Hundreds of people throughout Colorado thought they saw something unusual in the night sky on Tuesday. It was a fireball, which is just a big shooting star.
Fireballs are usually only spotted about once every other year, but for some reason, 4 have been seen in Colorado since September.
Astronomer Chris Peterson watches the sky from his mountain observatory west of Colorado Springs.
Since the fireball streaked through the sky on Tuesday, more than 250 witnesses have sent him reports on what they saw.
Coming up next Tuesday at 3:30 a.m., the sky will put on another big show. The earth will pass through the debris of a comet.
On a normal year you might be able to see 50 or 60 meteors per hour. However, this year it could be 10,000 meters per hour.
