Bidding Adieu

A standing-room only crowd filled the space at Saint Mary's Cathedral for the second Sunday of Easter. An estimated 600 parishioners there for a chance for the chance to grieve the passing of a Pontiff and celebrate the life of a popular leader.

The message for the special mass called to honor the life and death of John Paul II?
Mercy.

Fitting, Bishop Michael Sheridan says, for a Pope who lived to speak to his would-be assassin and offer forgiveness. A man who many feel leads even in passing.

"I believe he is in heaven. I believe the angels have welcomed him already and I ask for his prayers for us from heaven."

There's also the future in mind as one will fill the position and challenges of being Pope in the coming days.
